The Member States of the Federal Government of Somalia in Puntland and Jubaland have expressed concern that the outgoing senior officials of the Federal Government are obstructing the convening of the conference in Mogadishu.
The statement from the two administrations warned that prolonging the meeting could endanger the destiny of the country and the future of the Somali people.
“Ultimately, we declare that we are ready to discuss the status of the planned talks on Somali elections through improved coordination and is based on the agreement of 17 September 2020”, Said the statement.
