The meeting is part of a series of discussions ahead of the general conference talks by all Somali political leaders which was insisted by the international partners and that no one will leave Mogadishu until an election agreement is reached.

Representatives of the international community have previously met with the caretaker Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble and discussed solutions geared towards breaking the stalemate on the Somali election quagmire.
