The Jubbaland regional government spoke about the agreement reached by former Jubbaland security minister Abdirashid Hassan Abdinur Janan with the Somali Federal Government.
The sacked security minister was welcomed in Beled-hawo district in Gedo region yesterday.
Jubbaland State Information and Communication minister Abdi Hussein said the decision by Abdirashid Janan would not affect Jubbaland state administration, and that the Jubbaland’s position and stand on the Gedo region remains the same.
In an interview with the BBC Somali Service, the Information and Communication Minister said that they had recently learned that he (Abdirishid Janan) was in secret talks with the Federal Government of Somalia and reiterated that the work he had left would continue as initiated and planned as before.
The Jubbaland state administration has not yet officially commented on the decision of the former Jubbaland security minister to reach an agreement with the Somali Federal Government, but he was fired yesterday the Jubbaland State president Ahmed Mohamed Islam.
