Two people suspected to be behind a drug ring business in Kismayo, the Jubbaland State of Somalia have been arrested in a police swoop following tip-off from locals.
During the intensive police operation on drug dens in Kismayu, two people were arrested for smuggling hashish, according to sources.
Hashis also known as hash, is a drug made by compressing and processing trichomes of the cannabis plant.
It is consumed by smoking, typically in a pipe, bong, vaporizer or joint or sometimes via oral ingestion.
Kismayu police officials told the media that the two suspects will be arraigned in court soon after the completion of instigations.
Many drug dealers and traffickers have been arrested in the past in Kismayu and security agencies have issued warnings to traffickers of drugs.
