The prime minister of Somalia Mohamed Hussein Roble last night held a private meeting with the heads of the country’s private banks and senior bank executives.
The prime minister encouraged the heads of private banks to play a positive role in the country’s economic development, according to a statement from Roble’s office.
Prime Minister Roble also promised that the government would facilitate the operations of the country’s private banks to develop the country’s economy.
The meeting comes as previous reports from the government revealed that the global Coronavirus epidemic has had a major impact on the country’s economy, which is largely dependent on the private sector.
