The rape and murder of Hamdi Mohamed Farah took place on September 12th after she was allegedly raped and thrown from a hotel in the Waberi District’s Majo neighborhood.
Somali police said that 11 people have been arrested in connection with the rape and murder of Hamdi Mohamed Farah and will be arraigned in court.
There was also the arrest of a man accused of rape and murder on September 15 this year in Adado, Galgadud region who admitted that Hamdi had promised to meet him in the hotel, but did not know about the killing.
The men accused of raping and killing Hamdi Mohamed Farah have been arraigned in Benadir Regional Court on several occasions and the case is set to be concluded today.
Hamdi Mohamed Farah’s relatives met in Mogadishu yesterday and called on the Benadir Regional Court to conduct a fair trial on the case of Hamdi Mohamed Farah.
