The government of President Muse Bihi has appointed a committee to bury the body of the late Omar Carte who was ill in Hargeisa for the past few months but eventually passed away.
Omar Carte’s body will be buried in Baqeeq Cemetery in the northern city of Hargeisa and will be attended by Somaliland President Muse Bihi Abdi and members of the administration.
The funeral of the former Somali Prime Minister Omar Carte Qalib will also be attended by various dignitaries from across the country and abroad.
The late ex-Somali Prime Minister Omar Carte Qalib has also served as Somalia’s foreign minister playing a key role in rebuilding Somalia’s statehood.
