The registration of candidates for the post of speaker of the 2nd parliament of Hirshabelle region is set to begin on Monday in Jowhar town.
The chairman of the organizing committee of the speaker of the parliament Yusuf Sheikh Hassan Moalim Jelle who spoke to the media in Jowhar said that November 4 is scheduled to be the election of the speaker and before that we will work on accepting applications and speeches of candidates.
There are several candidates who have already announced their intention to run for office, including the Speaker, the First and Second Deputy Speakers, all of whom are running for office.
The Speaker of Parliament, the most influential seat, is under intense scrutiny and there are reports of several candidates vying for the post with various political affiliations.
