Reports from Jowhar town, the provincial capital of Hir-shabelle region indicate that the new members of Hir-shabelle parliament will be sworn in today.
Most are new faces while a few have returned to Parliament.
Among the MPs who lost their seat was the outgoing Speaker of Parliament Sheikh Osman Barre Mohamed.
The new speaker of parliament is set to be elected on November 5th, according to some lawmakers.
In general, the second formation of the Hir-Shabelle state is a political debate based on a power-sharing arrangement.
