President Donald Trump has announced his intention to lift sanctions on Sudan and remove it from the terrorist list so that the transitional government in Khartoum can achieve a diplomatic victory ahead of the US presidential election.

President Trump has said he will remove Sudan from its list of countries supporting terrorism if it pays $ 335 million in compensation to relatives of victims of terrorist attacks.

“Great news! The new Sudanese government which is making great strides has agreed to provide $ 335 MILLION to victims of US terrorism and their families. “Once it is done, we will remove Sudan from the list of regional terrorist supporters,” Said US President Trump.

Trump’s announcement comes months after the United States and Sudan reached a bilateral agreement.
