Jubbaland Ministry of Energy and Water Resources holds five-day training on water quality improvement in Kismayo

The Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Jubbaland State of Somalia has today held a training program for staff working at the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources which discussed the improvement of water quality and best practices to implement for the community to get clean and safe water.

The head of WASH services at the Ministry of Energy and Water Jubbaland, Ahmed Abdi Abdullahi underscored the critical importance of the training for Ministrys staff and said it will instill competence and valuable skills on the staff in water management.

The head of the Sanitation office of Alight organization, Ibrahim Abdi Budul who also spoke at the launch of the training for the employees of the Ministry of Energy and Water said improvement in water quality and standards is key in keeping safe the entire community.

During the five-day water quality improvement training, emphasis has been placed on the best ways to treat water and how modern technology can be used in uplifting water standards.

The training is geared towards instilling diverse knowledge and skills and aims to assist the employees of the Ministry of Energy and Water to be able to improve the quality of water.
