Somalia Deputy Prime Minister Mahdi Guled has yesterday chaired a meeting between the Federal Government of Somalia and the international community.

The Somali Deputy Prime Minister, Mahdi Guled has called on the international community to come to the aid of those who lost their property in the Waheen market fire in Hargeisa, Somaliland.

The meeting between the Deputy Prime Minister and the international community largely focused on rescuing those who lost their property in the fire that broke out in the Waheen Central Market in Hargeisa last week.

Waaheen Market, the largest market in Hargeisa, was the scene of a 20-hour long inferno that destroyed property and shops worth billions of dollars.

The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble has earlier ordered the release of nearly $ 12 million from the government to aid the blaze victims in Somaliland.
