Somali premier meets with representatives of the international community, calls for immediate drought aid

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble, accompanied by the Drought Relief Committee, met with representatives of the international community to discuss the ongoing drought situation in Somalia.

The Prime Minister called for an immediate response to the drought in Somalia, thanking the countries that have so far provided assistance to the Somali people.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the countries and institutions that have provided assistance so far, but I would like to point out that the scale of the drought and the need is far greater than what we have received and the strength of the Federal Government of Somalia. Therefore, I once again call on the international community to come to the aid of the Somali people who are suffering from drought,” Said Premier Mohamed Roble.
