The Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted a statement on its official Twitter account expressing support for the Ethiopian federal government in its fight against the ruling TPLF in the Tigray region but withdrew the statement.
All Facebook and Twitter pages of the Somali Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been deleted from the press release issued by the Somali Foreign Minister.
Minister Awad said there was no official statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and that the press release did not represent the views of the Federal Government.
It is not known what prompted the Federal Government of Somalia to withdraw its statement in support of the Ethiopian government in its fight against the ruling TPLF in the Tigray region.BY OSMAN HUSSEIN ALI
