The President of the Jubbaland State of Somalia, Ahmed Mohamed Islam has today chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers which discussed various issues including security, health and livestock.
The Ministry of Internal Security has reported on the security situation in the different parts of Jubbaland state, noting the extensive work carried out by the various security agencies. The ministry also reported of the arrest of Al-Shabaab members planning terror related activities in Jubbaland.
The Jubbaland Ministry of Health on its part presented a plan to establish an institution that will monitor and ensure the quality of medicines entering Jubaland regional state to ensure that pharmaceutical products are clinically proven for consumption.
The Ministry of Livestock and and Forestry has established 10 centers to store animal feeds. Also, in the past 12 months, the ministry has vaccinated 4,000,800 animals to ensure the safety of animals and prevent infectious diseases.
