The Jubbaland government police has last night carried out large-scale operations to ensure security, which took place in all the different neighborhoods of Kismayo town.
The security operation which lasted for hours was led by the Deputy Commander of the Lower Jubba Regional Police Division and the Chief of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Lower Jubba Regional Police.
Several people suspected to involved in criminal and terror activities within the town have arrested during the security clampdown and currently being investigated.
The spokesperson of the Jubbaland Police Force, Shukri Farah Duale who spoke to the media during the operation said that the operation is only meant to ensure security abd added that it will continue in the coming days.
