A 12-day capacity development training for the Jubaland Police Force in Dhobley District of Lower Jubba region of Somalia has successfully come to a close.
The capacity strengthening training focused on better management of police stations, improvement of Policing knowledge and skills, tackling of smuggling and illegal trafficking networks as well as integration and public safety.
Dhobley district, a bustling hub located near the border with Kenya is a gateway for people who are being trafficked or who want to be transported to other countries in the hope for better life prospects.
The Jubaland Police Force is relentlessly cracking down on traffickers and smuggling networks taking advantage of young Somalis seeking hope for a better life in Europe and other countries.
