Police in Mogadishu apprehended a police officer who killed a former colleague in Hawa Taako village of Wadajir district on Saturday afternoon.
A statement from the Somali Police Force indicated that a suspect named Mowlid Mohamud Ahmed is currently in custody for the murder of Dahir Abdi Ahmed, a 45-year-old former police officer.
Protesters, expressing outrage over the killing of the ex-officer, took to the streets in the village, demanding justice for the deceased. However, the police assured the public that the accused would be brought to justice immediately.
