Somaliland police forces apprehended a police officer, identified as Abdirahman Ibrahim Adan, aged 21, who is accused of killing a young man named Mustafa Ibrahim Adan in Hargeisa on Monday night.
The police command said yesterday that the suspect police officer was arrested in the Aw-barkhadle district, east of Hargeisa town. The police emphasized that the accused surrendered to law enforcement after being surrounded and would be promptly presented to the court for legal proceedings.
The press release also mentioned that the police had detained another two men, Mohamed Baashe Muse, aged 25, suspected of aiding the police officer in the murder, along with one of the officer’s friends.
The motive behind the killing remains unclear.
