The Jubbaland Minister for Energy & Water Resources, Ahmed Hussein Baraki (Zubeyr) has today took part in the launch of the Somali electricity sector recovery project (SESRP).
The event which was held in the Somali capital, Mogadishu was launched by the Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hamza Abdi Barre and is part of the government’s plan for the development of the country’s power plan.
The country’s electricity development program which is set to cost 150 million dollars is funded by the World Bank and set to last for 5 years.
Educational and health institutions in 11 towns in different parts of the country will be equipped with electricity.
