The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, honored an invitation from the President of the United States, Joe Biden after attending the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA.
The Somali President praised the United States government for its role in the fight against Al-Shabaab which is a challenge to the lives and development of the Somali people and the region as a whole.
The President indicated that the people and the Somali government are working together to liberate their country from the shackles of Al-Shabaab.
The President said that at this time, a war of sacrifice and bravery is going on in the areas where Al-Shabaab is hiding and this requires international support.
