The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud today had a fruitful meeting with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Said.
The two Presidents discussed ways to improve relations and cooperation between the two countries as well as facilitate trade, travel between citizens and issue visas.
President Mohammed bin Saeed thanked the President and his delegation for accepting the invitation and outlined his government’s role in responding to the drought in the country and restoring their support for the UAE government’s security and social services.
On his part, Somali President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has thanked the government and people of the United Arab Emirates for their support to the Somali people affected by the drought, saying that the Federal Government of Somalia attaches great importance to strengthening relations with the international community.
