The Minister of Finance and Economic Development of the Jubbaland State of Somalia, Hussein Hirsi Ahmed, accompanied by the Director General of the Ministry of Finance, Abdirahman Hudle has yesterday met with the Federal government Minister of Finance, Dr. Abdirahman Duale Beyle in Mogadishu.
The two sides discussed the strengthening and cooperation of the country’s financial development, especially development projects, Somalia’s debt forgiveness process, drought and the development of the country’s financial laws.
Afterwards, the Jubbaland finance Minister and the Ministry Director General paid a courtesy call on the Governor of the Central Bank of the Federal Republic of Somalia and discussed the re-establishment of the Jubbaland branch of the Central Bank in Kismayo to eliminate the need for private banks.
