Farmers in Yoontooy village are benefiting from the rains that have been experienced in the north of Kismayo for the last 24 hours.
The farmers who have been suffering from severe water shortages in recent months following the receeding of the river water levels, have now turned to farming in large numbers.
Yoontooy village chairman, Abukar Mohamed who spoke to Radio Kismayo on phone said the farmers have earnestly engaged in farming in large numbers to benefit from the rain that is currently being witnessed in the area.
