The security minister of Jubbaland state, Major General Yusuf Osman Dhumal has said that they will take tough action against the militias who have carried out killings in Dhobley area of Lower Jubba region today morning.
The minister said that they have sent troops to the areas where the killings took place where he confirmed that the forces are conducting a general search to find the perpetrators of those heinous acts.
He said the forces in Dhobley and Afmadow are on high alert to capture armed groups that he said pose a threat to security and peace in the area.
In recent days, he has confirmed that there has been inter-clan clashes between Dif and Gariley areas of Jubbaland state due to a dispute over grazing land between two clans living in the disputed areas.
The statement from the Jubbaland security minister comes just hours after the killing of two members of the same family and the killing of two non-clan members.
The minister assured that the Jubbaland state government and security forces are working to arrest the perpetrators.
