PM Roble appoints security committee for presidential inauguration ‎

Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Rooble has appointed the security committee for the inauguration ceremony of the Somali president, which is scheduled to take place in early June.‎

The committee comprises seven members, including security ministers and military commanders. ‎

‎The federal Minister of Internal Security, Abdullahi Nor, was made chairman of this committee and ordered officials to tighten security ahead of the presidential inauguration. ‎

Other members include the federal defense minister, Abdulkadir Jama and the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Duran Farah.

SNA’s Chief Commander, Gen Odawa Yusuf Rage and Somalia’s Police Commissioner, Gen Abdi Hassan Hijar, and the newly minted NISA director Mahad Salad are also members of the security committee.

‎Somalia s expected to host several international dignitaries, including leaders from neighbouring countries.‎

The presidents of Kenya, Uganda, Djibouti, and the Prime Minister of Ethiopia are among the confirmed guests.
