The Minister of Finance and Economic Development of the Jubaland State of Somalia, Hussein Hirsi Ahmed has today received staff from the National Audit Office in his office who had come to monitor the Somalia World Bank’s projects, especially Jubbaland state.
In recent years, World Bank projects have been monitored by the Office of the Auditor General with the help of leased monitoring agencies, while today the Office of the Auditor General is independently conducting its audit of the 2021 financial year Projects.
The projects bring monitored and scrutinized include;
1- Recurrent Cost and Reform Financing (RCRF) project which Jubbaland subsidizes Civil Servants, Health Promotion, Financial Establishment and Education Development
2- Somali Urban Resiliance Project (SURP) -This project is a huge project and will help Jubbaland rebuild its roads.
The Jubbaland Finance and Economic Development Minister thanked all the staff of the Office of the Auditor General of Somalia and commended them for their dedicated and diligent work which has earned the trust of donors in projects monitoring in the country.
