The Speaker of the House of the People of Somalia, Sheikh Adan Mohamed Nur (Madobe) has met with the Qatari Ambassador to Somalia Amb. Hassan bin Hamza Hashem.
The Ambassador shared with the Speaker a message of congratulations from the Chairman of the Qatari Parliamentary Council, Hassan bin Abdulla Al-Ghanim, on the election of the Speaker and the outcome of the election of President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud.
On his part, house speaker Aden Madobe encouraged the Qatari government to redouble its support for the people and government of Somalia.
The government of Qatar has been one of the most influential governments in Somalia for the past five years and worked closely with former President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.
