Somali Premier leaves for Geneva, Switzerland for international conference on drought in the Horn of Africa

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble has today morning left for Geneva, Switzerland for a one-day official state visit.

The Prime Minister is attending an international conference on the severe drought in the Horn of Africa, with a special focus on the drought situation in Somalia.

At the conference, which will be attended by senior officials and ministers from donor countries, the Prime Minister will deliver a speech highlighting the humanitarian situation in the country as a result of the devastating drought.

The Prime Minister’s participation in the Geneva Conference on Drought at the conclusion of his election campaign, demonstrates his commitment to bringing the international community’s attention to the drought situation in the country and rescue the Somali people from the biting drought situation.
