The Ministry of Planning, Investment and Economic Development of the Federal Government of Somalia (NAO-Somalia) has today launched a workshop in Kismayo on the management of EU projects in Somalia.
The conference was attended by Jubbaland state Minister for Planning, Mursal Khalif, the Director General of the Jubbaland Ministry of Planning, Abdi Mohamed Dhaqane, the Acting Head of the NAO Office of the Ministry of Planning and staff from various Ministries of the Jubbaland State.
The 3-day conference will focus on the process of generating projects, managing them, evaluating and how the Jubbaland regional government has benefited from the ILED Economic Development Project.
Mr. Abdi Muhumed Ahmed, Acting Head of the NAO- EU Project Management Office at the Ministry of Planning said the evaluation and management of of such key projects is critical in effective project handling.
The Jubbaland state Minister for Planning, Mursal Khalif on his part underlined the importance of the training saying that its critical for the institutions of the country and the Jubbaland state in making the best out of the EU development projects in Somalia.
