The Somali National Army (SNA) has carried out a number of operations in the Lower Shabelle region, destroying bases and hideouts of Al-Shabaab insurgents.
The operation, led by the Commander of the 64th battalion of the Armed Forces, was carried out in Sagaroole, Ramakulow and Warmaxan villages in Lower Shabelle region.
Also, during the operation, troops removed landmines planted by terrorists along the road between Walaweyn and Warmaxan districts.
The Somali National Army has been carrying out a string of major military offensive against the Al-Affiliated Al-Shabaab terror cells which has been a thorn in the flesh of the Somali Nation.
