Conference on developing the country’s stabilization and national development plan for 2022-2025 takes shape in Garowe, Puntland state

The Ministry of Interior of the Federal Government of Somalia and the Ministries of Interior of the regional state Governments met in Garowe for the Stabilization and Development Plan for the next 3 years.

The one-day conference focused on developing the country’s stabilization and development plan for 2022 and 2025 and was hosted by Puntland state and was attended by officials from the Ministry of Interior of the Federal Government of Somalia, regional administrations and officials from the Norwegian Embassy in Somalia which supported this program.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, Puntland Deputy Minister of Interior, Local Government and Democracy, Abdiweli Mire Hirsi urged the participants to work with Puntland state on infrastructure development.

The Head of the Norwegian Embassy in Mogadishu, Mr. Huukin, urged the quick and complete implementation of the plan, noting that it has been going on for 10 years, and that they will continue to support the Somali community and ensure sustainable development.

The Director General of the Ministry of Interior of the Federal Government of Somalia, Sacid Alasow outlined the process of aligning these integrated plans for the stabilization and development of the country over the next three years.

It will be the first of its kind to be held in the country and is set to address the needs of the country’s administrations in the areas of liberation, stabilization and development.
