Federal Electoral Commission discuss poll matters with International Community Representatives in Mogadishu

The chairman of the Federal Electoral Commission, Muse Gelle Yusuf and members of the commission have met with some representatives of the international community in Mogadishu.

The meeting discussed the importance of holding timely and credible parliamentary elections in accordance with a recent communiqué from the National Consultative Council.

The Chairman of the Federal Electoral Commission briefed the International Community Representatives on the process of the Parliamentary elections and the importance of holding the elections on time.

Representatives of the international community, on their part, called on the poll commission to expedite the parliamentary elections, and not to exceed the deadline.

Somalia is currently undergoing a series parliamentary elections, and international observers are monitoring the process.
