Two women, one of whom was said to be 7- months pregnant, have died at a quarry collapse incident on the northern outskirts of Kismayo town.
The women were among a number of men and women who were digging stones in a quarry on the northern outskirts of Kismayo.
Some of the quarry workers who witnessed the incident and exhumed their bodies from underneath rubble said the incident happened when one of the women was digging stones shortly before it caved in.
The two women who died in the quarry are said to have recently joined the quarry.
