The Jubbaland Minister for Humanitatian Affairs and Disaster Management, Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed has today handed over a sum of $ 35,000 drought funds courtesy of the Federal Government of Somalia.
Jubbaland Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management has handed over the funds donation to the Disaster Prevention Committee under the Jubbaland Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management to reach the drought-affected people of Jubbaland state.
The handover event was attended by Jubbaland Deputy Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Farah Muqtar, the Director of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Abdirashid Omar Faratoon and the Jubbaland Disaster Management Committee.
Ugas Abdullahi Siraad Abdi, a member of the Jubblanad Drought Prevention Committee has thanked the generous donation of the Federal government of Somalia to help the people of Jubblanad state.
The Jubbaland Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, Abdirahman Abdi Ahmed has thanked the Somali government for providing the drought funds to the drought-stricken population adding that it would help cushion the adverse effects of the drought.
