“Security personnel sent by the deputy police chief of Kanif and the commander of Benadir region Farhan Qaroole told me that they were blocking a peaceful demonstration in Hodan district where I was present at the time,” said the prominent politician Ahmed Maalim Fiqi.
He added: “It is clear that these men are still working with the outgoing regime and have turned a deaf ear to the Prime Minister’s plight”.
On his part, Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame addressed the issue and sent a message to the prime minister as well as security minister Abdullahi Mohamed Nur adding that the country is heading to dictatorship.
“Demonstrations against Farmajo’s failed coup attempt were blocked by Farhan Qaroole and Kaniif. We call on Prime Minister Roble and his security minister to be wary of such dictators in their midst, ”said Abdirahman Abdishakur Warsame.
