The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has met with the chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya, Mohamed Yunis Al-Menfi at the Third Turkey-Africa Cooperation Conference in Turkey.
The President of the Republic of Somalia and the chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya have discussed bilateral relations between Somalia and Libya and how the two countries can work together in the areas of transportation, security and politics.
Meanwhile, the Somali President discussed with the chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya how he could assist in the liberation of Somali nationals detained in Libya.
The two leaders agreed to work together for the safety of Somali citizens inside Libya.
The Federal Republic of Somalia will soon send a special commission to look into the situation of Somalis detained in Libya.
The Commission will monitor and report on the living conditions of the Somali citizens in Libya.
