The somali Presidential Union of Candidates has announced that the traditional elders who had the right to select the delegates for the parliamentary elections have been left out.
They accused the government of recruiting members of its staff, the security forces and of non-ethnic groups to rig the lower house elections, the candidates said in a statement.
The Coalition of Presidential Candidates has called on the international community to intervene in the elections and not to remain silent about the looting of parliamentary seats.
