The Minister for Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Hussein Haji met with the UK Ambassador to Somalia Kate Foster.
The meeting discussed cooperation between the two governments in Somalia and the rebuilding of the country’s armed forces.
Defense Minister Hassan Hussein Haji thanked the British government for training and rebuilding the Somali National Army, and asked for more security support to the Somali nation.
The UK Ambassador to Somalia, Kate Foster, has said that the UK will increase its training and equipping the country’s armed forces in the fight against Al-Shabaab terror cells in order to ensure security in the horn if Africa nation.
The British government is one of the countries supporting Somalia, providing training to government and South Western forces, and has opened a training camp in Baidoa, the capital of Bay region.
