The Somali national army (SNA) has set up new bases near Guri ceel town as they prepare to launch an offensive against Ahlu Sunna group, amid an escalating tension.
About 50 families have fled from their houses, fearing that armed clashes could erupt in the town.
Guri ceel lies some 445km north of the Somali capital, Mogadishu.
