The President of the Fedral Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has termed yesterday’s International Court of Justice ruling on the maritime case dispute a success and a victory for the Horn of Africa nation and its People.
“I would like to thank Allah who has granted us this historic victory after the long struggle by the people and Government of the Federal Republic of Somalia against the unlawful attempts by the Kenyan government to claim parts of our maritime territory”, Said President Mohamed Farmajo.
The International Court of Justice (ICJ) famoulsy called the World court has yesteday backed Somalia in the nearly 40,000 sq miles(100 000 sq km) sea floor maritime dispute.
The ruling came after Nairobi last week said it had revoked recognition of the court’s jurisdiction.
