The Somali federal government’s Ministry of Health said 1,667 Corona virus cases had been registered in the past 24 hours, 140 cases being in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
According to the Somali Ministry of Health, 27 cases have been reported in Puntland, Somaliland, 105, Galmudug and 3 in Jubbaland regional state.
The Overall number of COVID-19 cases in Somalia was reported to be 19,723 cases with 1,103 deaths, while 9,414 have been cured in both Mogadishu and other parts of the country.
The Somali Federal Minister for Health, Ms. Fawzia Abikar Nur, called on everyone to take health advice seriously and implement measures to curb CoronaVirus in order to be successful in efforts to improve community safety.
