Officials from the Ministry of Security and DDR of the Puntland State of Somalia and officials from the United Nations Assistance Mission in Somalia (UNSOM) met in Garowe to discuss a host of issues critical to security.
The meeting was chaired by the Minister for Security and DDR of the Puntland Administration accompanied by the Deputy Ministers and the Director General.
The UNSOM delegation was led by Marco, ROLS-UNSOM leader. The meeting discussed the acceleration of the Electoral Security Program, preparations for the JPP project – the second phase and how the two sides can work together on development projects in Puntland regional state of Somalia.
The UN delegation is expected to travel to other parts of the country in the coming days.
