A 35-year-old Somali national has been shot dead by gunmen in South Africa.
The deceased identified as Mahad Dheere, a 35-year-old Somali national, was shot dead by armed gunmen at his shop in Mamelodi in South Africa’s capital, Pretoria.
South African police are said to have arrived at the scene of the killings, conducting a search operation for the gunmen behind the killing of the Somali national but have not been able to apprehend him.
A Somali who was at the scene of the crime told police that the deceased had an altercation with the gang minutes before the killing took place.
A number of Somalis have been killed in South Africa by criminal gangs in the recent past.
