The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble met with members of the Federal Electoral Commission tasked with the elections in Somalia.
The members of the Commission briefed the Somali Prime Minister on the progress of the elections.
The Prime Minister has also called on the commission to expedite the country’s electoral process.
The Prime Minister thanked the members of the Commission for their work in the ongoing elections and urged them to fasttrack the remaining elections for the two Houses of the Somali Parliament.
The Somali government, which has been tasked with holding the country’s elections, has said it will hold free and fair elections.
