A contingent of Danab Commandos and Somali government forces are conducting various security operations in areas of Jalalaqsi district in Hiran region.
The Operation leading officials said the security operation is to remove the Al-Shabaab terror group from the Jalalaqsi and rid the roads and villages under the Hiran region of improvised explosive devices.
The operation is also being done on the tarmac road from Mogadishu to Hiran region.
The Officials leading the operation said the army was committed to ousting Al-Shabaab fighters from all areas.
Al-Shabaab has been carrying out a series of attacks in parts of Hiraan and Middle Shabelle regions.
