A joint operation by the Darawish and PSF forces in Puntland have in the past few hours carried out a planned operation in the Golis Mountains in Bari Region.
The operation was aimed at ensuring that regional security was carried out in the Amayra mountains, Ceel Unkud, Muguc and Karin-Fox, according to Puntland State Television.
The operation was led by Golis Commander Said Nur Shire and inflicted serious casualties on members of the Al-Qaeda-linked Al-Shabaab terror group who were said to have taken refuge there.
