Rwanda and Uganda among countries to host huge influx of Afghan refugees

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has thanked countries that have contributed to US efforts to evacuate Americans, Afghans and workers from other countries.

Afghan refugees who were not previously allowed to be resettled in the United States will now be relocated to countries such as Albania, Canada, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Mexico, Poland, Qatar, Rwanda and Uganda.
