Somali Prime Minister holds critical talks in Egypt, set to conclude today

The Prime Minister of the Federal republic of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble is still in Cairo, Egypt, where he is holding various meetings with Egyptian officials.

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble paid a courtesy call on former President Abdiqasim Salad Hassan at his residence in Cairo and briefed him on the situation in the country, the electoral process and other key issues.

The Prime Minister thanked Abdiqasim Hassan for his role in state-building in Somalia and his role as an elder.

“I visited former President Abdiqasim Salad Hassan at his residence in Cairo and thanked him for his role in state-building in Somalia and his role as an elder.

I briefed the President on the situation in the country in general and on the electoral process in particular, and listened to valuable advice and examples,” Said Prime Minister Roble.

The prime minister is expected to wrap up talks in Egypt this afternoon, thus concluding his visit to Egypt.
