Jubbaland Justice and Religious Affairs Ministry concludes a 3-day gender justice training course for Kismayo traditional elders and women

The Jubbaland Ministry of Justice and Religious Affairs has today concluded a gender justice training for traditional elders and some women in Kismayo, Jubbaland state.

The training which lasted for three days was supported by the Jubbaland Ministry of Justice and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA)

Some of the participants of the training who spoke to Radio Kismayo said the lessons learned during the training course has changed their perspectives, noting the role of the Jubbaland Ministry of Justice in the training of justice.
The spokesman for the Jubbaland Sultans, Ugas Omar Hirey, who was present at the closing event praised the traditional elders and women who have immensely benefited from the training, noting the role of the Jubbaland and called on them to impart the knowledge and lessons learnt to other society members.

Adan Osman, the trainer who provided the training to the trainees said the lessons taught to the traditional elders and the women during the training course should be transferred to the community to help create a literate and knowledgeable society.
